We have been in Canada for 2 months already, we stayed in the the Olympic village for about a month, but now we are staying in +- 50 year old army barracks, which are much nicer. We bought a metallic green,1994 Chrysler Intrepid car for CA $10,000.00 and a nice 15 year old house in good condition, in Woodbine, a lovely suburb of Calgary. But we can't move in yet. Would you believe our house agent is a South African?
Woodbine is close to the Fish creek Provincial park and Sarcee Indian reserve. There are lovely nature trials.
Mr. Tokeloshe spent one week in Philadelphia for Induction, then he worked +- 3 weeks in Calgary and is doing 5 weeks Academy in Boston, USA. He phones every night and is home weekends.
Our first weekend we went to the Rocky Mountains, Banff National Park and Lake Louise, which are fantastic.
Lake Louise is Emerald colored, the mountains are huge, with snow on top and the town of Banff looks like little Switserland.
A group of South Africans got together for a lunch at Canyon Rose in Cochrane a town close to Calgary.
