A sunny day in Gibsons.

Gibsons Marina Entrance.

While camping at Roberts Creek, we visited Gibsons, on the Sunshine Coast, British Columbia, Canada. It was a lovely cool day. It is one of our favourite places. We were there before in 2022, 2012 and in 2008.

Smitty’s Oyster House.

"Gibsons is the entryway to the Sunshine Coast for many people, thanks to the fact that it’s just a short 40-minute ferry ride from West Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal) to the Langdale Ferry Terminal. The community sits at the southwest corner of Howe Sound, perched on a hillside overlooking several small islands." - Sunshine Coast.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Howe Sound.

"Gibsons is located on the traditional territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation). Approximately 4,758 people call the Gibsons area home (with more people living in the Elphinstone and West Howe Sound areas surrounding the Town of Gibsons), and it’s a popular spot for artists and outdoor enthusiasts alike." - Sunshine Coast.

I find it very relaxing to walk along the marina.

Geese in the harbour.

“Gibsons Public Market is a community hub where Sunshine Coast residents and visitors can learn about and enjoy local food, art and entertainment. Situated in the heart of Gibsons Landing overlooking the harbour and marina, the public market is opened year-round, six days a week.” – Sunshine Coast Canada.

Molly’s Reach. The Beachcombers' famous restaurant Molly's Reach is up for sale.

“Shop, stroll, and dine, all against the backdrop of stunning views of Howe Sound and vistas of the coastal mountains – this is Gibsons Landing. Charming stores, art galleries, and restaurants/cafés line the Landing, complete with Winegarden Waterfront Park – the perfect place to sit in the sun or take a panoramic picture of the harbour.”- Sunshine Coast Canada
