MY INSPIRATION: 
Altered CD/DVD with Finnabair Waxes and Moulds Keren Tamir used Gesso for a base, I cleaned the CD with Alcohol and then used Modge Podge as a base. I used Pearlescent paint and metallic paints instead of waxes. You can also make your own waxes, Metallic paint, etc. :

 SUPPLIES AND TOOLS: Plastic face, string, CD, Matt Modge Podge by Plaid, Vintage Elements Sticker by Forever in time (Gears) Metallic Acrylic paint, string beads, Pearlescent paint by Colorfactory, florist wire, chip-board wings, Hot-glue, glue-gun, white glue, Paintbrushes, etc.

TECHNIQUES USED: Tutorial – Mixed Media Magnet by Veena’s Magical World of Art and Craft


SUPPLIES AND TOOLS: Coaster Matt Modge Podge by Plaid, Vintage Elements Sticker by Forever in time (heart), Acrylic paint, Florist wire, beads, Pearlescent paint by Colorfactory, Ranger Ink - Perfect Pearls Mist - 2 Ounce Bottle - Perfect Pearl, Hot-glue, glue-gun, Elements Grungeboard by Tim Holtz (wings) etc.

TECHNIQUE: Crumpled gift wrapping tissue applied with Modge Podge.

 

SUPPLIES AND TOOLS: Oven bake clay, flattened bottle cap, coaster, chipboard letter, Spiral clips, Acrylic paint, gift wrapping tissue paper, brads, hot-glue, glue-gun, Matt Modge Podge by Plaid, chipboard star, cardboard, Pearlescent paint by Colorfactory available at Dollar stores, which I used instead of metallic paint and waxes. For the gears: decorative edge scissors, regular scissors, circle templates, pencils, circle punches, etc.

  TECHNIQUES: DIY Cogs and gears for cards, scrapbook, art journals, mixed media projects, etc
