 The same day that we visited Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, we went to Fisherman’s Wharf again, we have been there before, you can see the post by clicking here.

Sweets At Fisherman's Wharf.

“Just around the corner from Victoria’s Inner Harbour, Fisherman’s Wharf is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. This unique marine destination offers food kiosks, unique shops and eco-tour adventures in the heart of the working harbour. Wander down the docks with your lunch, buy seafood fresh off the boat, see moored pleasure vessels and float homes, and watch as fishing vessels unload their wares.” – Fisherman’s Wharf Victoria.

This visit we noticed more artist painting the scenery, with canvases, easels, etc. I suppose they sell their paintings to the tourists, but it is a good way to practice.

 

We had great fish and chips at Barb's Fish and Chips.

“The eastern end of Fisherman’s Wharf is populated largely by float homes. On taking ownership of the wharf in 2002, GVHA set aside 33 berths especially for floating residences. The float homes are moored on fingers A, B and C. All float home spots are currently occupied.” – Greater Victoria Harbor Authority

We saw seals on our previous visit. but not today.

“A Brief History of Fisherman’s Wharf From the end of the Second World War to about 1990 was the heyday of the fishing fleet at Fisherman’s Wharf. Fishing vessels were tied to every dock, except for two docks at the east end. These two “live aboard” docks were home to a diverse, and often eccentric, community from the 1970s right up until 2000. Many colourful characters roamed the docks and rubbed shoulders with the fishermen. People would appear from nowhere and make the wharf their new home. Suddenly, they would move on and quickly be replaced by other, equally eccentric types. This meant there was never a dull moment on the wharf. Local police were often kept busy breaking up fights and cross-checking their list of outstanding arrest warrants with the roster of wharf inhabitants. Read more…“
