After we left Spring Salmon Place we dry-camped for two nights at French Beach Provincial Park, on Vancouver Islands’ West Coast. We have camped there before. You can see the posts here and here. Our site number was 23. We found the campground clean, very quite, with beautiful forest hikes and within minutes walk to the ocean.

French Beach Provincial Park has friendly staff, firewood for sale, is very scenic, have pit toilets and a Sani dump. French Beach Provincial Park is children and pet friendly.

We have trained Erik to sit on he's own camp-chair (he doesn't jump on it, but climbs onto it ;-)) This has turned out very well, as he knows he's "place" in any campsite and we can tell him to get onto he's chair at any time and he does. He spends most of he's time in he's chair and knows the perimeter (which he has marked) in any campsite.

It can be quite cold here, this time of year, especially in the evenings, so pack warm clothes. We had hoped to go to Port Renfrew, which we had visited before, but found it too cold.
