Ice Break

We went to Peter Lougheed Park for the day, we saw about 12 dogsled teams, but it was too far to photograph properly. We also saw ice fisherman on the frozen lakes. When we were at Nakiska we could hear the Avalanche blasts, which we have not seen yet.

We also went to Elbow Falls twice to take photographs of the frozen waterfall. I skated on Allen Bill pond, but it was tough as I haven’t skated in a long time. (Plus 4 °C) We had much warmer weather. We saw ice sailing on Ghost dam (plus 5°C), people also do ice fishing and go on the frozen dam with 4x4’s. I am glad we didn’t, as the tricky part is getting on and off the ice. There is only one place they can do this and it looked as if the ice had broken through there.
