It is so cold the snow has frozen; it shines and is very slippery. Our son sled on our front lawn and you can skate in our driveway. People with steep driveways have a problem, getting in and out. At least the sun is shining and the days are getting longer again. Fortunately it was a bit warmer last weekend. If only the whole winter was like that. We were very excited to hear that there was pack ice in Portugal Cove’s bay, we didn’t even know, as we don’t pass there on our way to town, but saw it in the paper. The Ferry had to be helped by the coast guard.
