A rainy day on the ferry.

On a chilly, rainy day, we departed Roberts Creek to ride the MV Malaspina Sky Ferry from Earls Cove to Saltery Bay on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada. It will take fifty minutes to cross.

We are waiting at the ferry terminal.

"The ship was renamed Malaspina Sky in a ceremony on October 24, 2019. The ship was renamed as part of a BC Ferries' initiative to standardize its naming conventions, to release the name, and to prevent confusion with the upcoming Island-class ferries being delivered in 2020.[3]"- Wikipedia

While boarding the ferry, the photo was taken through the windshield.

There is comfortable seating with a view.

It has self-serve dining options, coffee shops, restrooms, elevators, a kid's section, workstations, a pet area, comfortable seating, shopping and more.

“Dogs on leashes and cats in carriers travelling with their owners now have access to larger, outdoor pet areas on the upper decks of vessels travelling on the Horseshoe Bay – Departure Bay and Horseshoe Bay-Langdale routes.” – B.C. Ferries

PLEASE NOTE: Our return trip was on a hot day, Erik indicated that his paws were hot on the deck, but there was a shaded area where we could take him to.
