We went Boondocking for a few days at one of our favorite places on the James River, near Sundre, Alberta, Canada. We saw the wild horses of Alberta (WHOA) again, you can read more about them here.

This was Erik's first camping trip, swim in a river, ride on a quad, ride in the back of the truck, etc. but he handled it like a seasoned camper.
In the summertime we span our hammocks over the river, which you can see here.
We heard and saw many birds, geese and ducks also do flyovers.

Erik is a three-month old Australian Cattle Dog (ACD) a.k.a. Blue Heeler, relaxing on hubby's lap.

Erik the lap-dog. As you can see the tarps were required because of the rainy weather.
Fortunately there is more than one lap (Erik has BIG feet).
Pork chops and grill basket vegetables on the grill (first time and it was good).
We mixed onions, carrots, mushrooms, tomatoes and celery with olive oil, rock salt, oregano and freshly ground black pepper in a bowl and then grilled them in a grill basket.
