The weather is getting better and the days longer. We go walking with our dog in the afternoons after work and weekends. Western Round pond and Nearie’s pond is within walking distance from our house. There are lovely trails as trees, Ferns and moss surround the ponds. There is a summer cabin with pots and pans hanging from the ceiling and antlers by the front door. It has an outhouse; its roof is made of logs stacked in the shape of a Teepee.
We went snowshoeing there once; we have adjustable walking sticks, which makes it easier. We had to be careful of the branches as they hung heavy with snow. It was like a Fairytale world there with pristine snow.
The next day our son went with and we all went sledding one last time, he built a snowman, we threw snowballs at our dog, who loved it, but she will have to learn to pace herself. We went walking there one day when it was raining and we heard the fog horn all the time.
